Free AI meeting notes: transcripts, summaries and action items
About MeetingMind
MeetingMind is a free AI meeting-notes app for Android and the web. It records a meeting, call or conversation and turns it into a transcript with speaker labels, a summary of the key points and decisions, and a list of action items with an owner and a date. The point, in the app's own words, is meetings you can skim instead of relive.
It captures audio three ways. A meeting bot can join your Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet calls from your calendar, where it shows up as a visible participant named Meeting Mind. You can record an in-person conversation with your phone or computer microphone. And you can place a phone call from the app and record it. All three produce the same transcript and summary afterwards. MeetingMind is run by Kreative Koala, and its privacy policy names the services behind it: Deepgram and Soniox for speech-to-text, Anthropic's Claude models for summaries, action items and answers, Recall.ai for the meeting bot and Twilio for phone calls.
Sign up on the web or install the Android app (Android 10 or later). Both share one account, so recordings appear in both places.
To capture an online meeting, connect Google Calendar or Outlook and switch auto-join on for a meeting. The bot joins the call at the start, appears as a participant, and while it is in the meeting you can follow a live transcript (English only). For in-person meetings, lectures or interviews, record with your device microphone. For phone calls, place the call from the app.
After the recording ends, MeetingMind writes the transcript with speaker labels and detects the language automatically, across more than 36 languages. It then produces a summary with key points and decisions and an action list showing who agreed to do what and by when, with a priority. You can add the whole list to your to-dos in one tap, ask questions of one recording or all of them, and export notes and action items to Slack, Notion or a webhook.
- •AI summaries - Key points and decisions pulled out of every meeting, so you can skim rather than relisten.
- •Action items with owners - Who owes what and by when, collected into one checklist with priorities that can be added to your to-dos in one tap.
- •Ask across meetings - Ask a question of a single recording or your whole history and get answers with citations.
- •Calendar auto-join bot - Connect Google or Outlook and the bot joins Zoom, Teams or Meet at the start, with a live transcript while it runs.
- •Phone and in-person recording - Place calls from the app or record conversations in the room, with the same transcript and summary afterwards.
- •36+ languages - Language is detected automatically as people talk, with speaker renaming built in, and integrations export summaries to Slack, Notion or a webhook.
MeetingMind suits professionals who sit through back-to-back calls and want notes without paying for a meeting assistant, including freelancers, consultants, small teams and sales reps running discovery calls. Because it records phone calls and in-person conversations as well as video meetings, it also fits field workers, students recording lectures and anyone who meets clients face to face.
Every feature is free, with fair use and per-file limits set out in its terms. The app reminds users that they are responsible for telling the people they record and for following the recording laws that apply to them.
