VoiceCap
The AI notetaker for meetings in your language
About VoiceCap
VoiceCap is a meeting notetaker built around the meetings that most notetakers handle badly: the ones not conducted in English. It detects more than 100 languages automatically rather than requiring you to declare one, and produces summaries, decisions and action items in the language the meeting actually happened in. Bots join calls on Meet, Zoom, Teams and Webex, meetings can be recorded automatically from Google and Outlook calendars, and uploads cover anything that happened outside those channels, so there are three routes into the archive.
Two decisions make it interesting beyond the language angle. The first is commercial: the whole product is on every plan, including free, and viewers are free however many you invite, so you pay only for the people who actually record. That removes the usual awkwardness of buying seats for colleagues who only ever read notes. The second is architectural: the archive is reachable over MCP from Claude and ChatGPT, so you can question past meetings from the assistant you already use rather than only through VoiceCap's own interface. The company presents itself as an EU operation based in Vilnius, Lithuania, with data residency as part of the pitch, though it publishes no audit or certification to support that.
Meetings reach VoiceCap three ways. A bot can join a scheduled call on Meet, Zoom, Teams or Webex; recording can happen automatically off your Google or Outlook calendar so nobody has to remember; or you can upload a file after the fact.
Processing detects the language without being told, transcribes, and produces a summary with decisions and action items separated out rather than one undifferentiated block of text. Everything lands in a shared archive for the team, with permissions determining who sees what, including groups, roles and share links on the paid tiers.
The archive is then queryable. Beyond searching inside VoiceCap, MCP access lets Claude or ChatGPT read it, so questions like what was decided about a particular contract can be asked from the assistant rather than by trawling transcripts. Seats can be added and dropped as the team changes, and only owners, admins and members count as capture seats.
- •Automatic language detection across 100+ languages - the meeting is transcribed and summarised in the language it happened in, without configuration, which is the product's central differentiator.
- •Three capture routes - meeting bots for Meet, Zoom, Teams and Webex, automatic recording from Google and Outlook calendars, and direct file upload.
- •Decisions and action items, not just transcripts - summaries separate what was decided and what was assigned, which is the part a reader actually needs.
- •MCP access from Claude and ChatGPT - the archive can be questioned from an external assistant, included on every plan rather than reserved for the top tier.
- •Free viewers, paid capture seats - unlimited members and viewers at no cost on every plan, with billing attached only to people who record.
- •Shared archive with permissions - one team archive with groups, roles and share links on paid plans, so access control does not require a separate tool.
VoiceCap fits teams that meet in a language other than English and have found mainstream notetakers unreliable there, distributed European companies with data residency concerns, and organisations where many people need to read meeting notes but few need to record them, since that is exactly the shape its pricing rewards. Developers who already work through Claude or ChatGPT will value querying the archive over MCP without another interface to learn.
It is not the obvious choice everywhere. Teams meeting entirely in English have a large field of mature alternatives, and VoiceCap is the smallest and newest product among them with a single public review. Pricing is quoted in euros plus VAT, which makes comparison against dollar-priced competitors harder and means buyers outside the EU face currency exposure. Anyone needing a formal security certification will find the EU-company positioning asserted rather than evidenced. And organisations wanting deep CRM workflow automation off the back of meetings will find this is a notetaker and archive rather than a revenue-intelligence platform.
