SVGBase
AI SVG generator and editor with free converters
About SVGBase
SVGBase is a browser workspace for creating and editing SVG files, with an AI agent that writes vector code from a text description. You describe the subject, style, colors and layout, and it returns editable SVG code for an icon, logo, illustration, diagram or animation, which you can preview, refine with another instruction, and export. Most AI image tools produce pixels; SVGBase is built around vector code you can open, inspect and keep changing.
The non-AI parts are free and need no account: an SVG code editor and viewer with live preview, and converters for PNG to SVG, SVG to PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, DXF and STL, and SVG code to file. The site says files in the free converters stay in your browser. AI generation and AI editing use credits: 5 per request in Fast mode and 10 in Quality, the same for static or animated SVGs. New accounts get 20 free credits after email verification, enough for up to 4 Fast or 2 Quality requests.
To create with AI, describe the design you want, for example a rotating loader, a floating illustration or a simple mountain scene, and choose Fast or Quality. The agent returns SVG code shown side by side with a live preview.
To refine, describe a change, such as a new palette or a simpler composition, and review the updated code and preview before exporting. You can also bring your own SVG and ask the AI to edit it. Local edits work on files up to 32 KiB with welcome credits or 64 KiB with paid credits, while full rewrites are limited to 8 KiB.
When you are happy, edit the code by hand if needed and export SVG, PNG, JPG or WebP. The example gallery loads static and animated samples into the same agent so you can start from one.
- •Text to SVG - Generate editable vector code for icons, logos, illustrations and diagrams from a description of subject, style, colors and layout.
- •Animated SVGs - Create and edit animations such as stroke drawing, loaders and floating illustrations at the same credit cost as static files.
- •AI editing of existing SVGs - Upload or paste an SVG and describe a change, then compare the code and preview before you export.
- •Free SVG code editor and viewer - Edit, preview and export SVG code without credits or sign-up.
- •Free converters - PNG to SVG, SVG to PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, DXF and STL, and SVG code to file, processed in the browser.
- •Flexible credits - Monthly or yearly subscriptions with 50% more credits than packs at the same price, or one-time packs that never expire.
SVGBase suits web designers and front-end developers who need small vector assets, such as icons, loaders and simple illustrations, as code they can drop into a site and adjust. Makers working with cutting machines or 3D printing can use the DXF and STL converters, and anyone who just needs to view or convert an SVG can do it free.
The AI side is sized for small, focused files rather than large detailed artwork, given the edit size limits. Light users can buy a one-time pack; regular users get more credits per dollar from a monthly or yearly plan.
