Lansy Desk
AI meeting notes and minutes, with no bot in the call
About Lansy Desk
Lansy Desk is a desktop meeting notetaker for macOS, Windows and Linux. It captures call audio on your own computer, whether the call is in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, a softphone or a messenger, so no bot joins the meeting and the people you talk to install and confirm nothing. When the call ends it produces a written report: a recap, the stages of the conversation, who said what, the decisions that were made and the tasks with owners and deadlines. The product's own line is to leave every meeting "with decisions and tasks, not an hour-long recording".
Most meeting assistants join as a visible participant that someone has to admit, and the output is often a long transcript nobody rereads. Desk takes the opposite approach on both counts: recording starts when you join a call, with no link to paste and no guest to admit, and the result is a short list of decisions and action items. Recordings land in a folder on your computer first, and if the internet drops, recording continues locally and the recap appears once the connection is back.
Desk is part of the wider Lansy platform from Collabo Tech Ltd, a UAE company whose conversation-analysis models are used by customers in stores and clinics; Desk applies the same models to online meetings. The in-person Lansy platform is a separate product with its own pricing. Desk itself is priced in UAE dirhams only: a Free plan at AED 0 with 90 minutes of recording a week, Pro at AED 59 a month (AED 39 a month billed annually) and Team at AED 79 per seat a month from 3 seats. No USD price is published. The site states that personal data is anonymised, conversations are encrypted and it complies with the UAE PDPL, and it reminds users that the law requires telling participants before recording.
Download the app for macOS, Windows or Linux. On a Mac it asks for microphone and system-audio recording permissions on first launch, and it needs macOS 14.2 Sonoma or newer.
Join your call the way you normally do. Lansy starts recording on its own and shows a small control in the notch with a timer, a Stop recording button and a Make private button. Making a meeting private stops the recording and keeps that meeting out of the recap and out of your profile. Any recording can also be stopped or deleted later, together with its recap.
A couple of minutes after you hang up, the report is ready. It opens with a short summary, a timeline of the call split into stages, and the tasks with an owner and a deadline for each. Each meeting also gets an overall score out of 10, a category such as "Team stand-up" and an outcome such as "Follow-up required". You can share a report by link.
Over time the reports build up into a list of every call. On the Team plan this becomes a shared view where a manager sees every call report across the team, and an assistant can answer questions across all of those meetings.
- •Automatic meeting minutes - Every call ends with minutes: a recap, timestamped stages, who said what, the decisions, and the tasks with owners and deadlines. The notetaker runs on your computer, so the minutes arrive a couple of minutes after the call.
- •Bot-free local recording - Audio is captured on your machine from Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, softphone calls and messengers. Other participants install nothing, files are stored locally first, and a one-button private mode keeps a meeting out of the record.
- •Meeting score and personal goals - Each meeting gets an overall score, and after every call your profile fills in with strengths, lagging skills and week-over-week momentum, scored against a skills matrix (the site's example shows Discovery, Presentation and Handling price). Employees see only their own profile.
- •Team view for managers - On the Team plan a manager gets a team-wide dashboard of call reports and goals without listening to anyone else's recordings, plus a team knowledge base built from every meeting.
- •Ask your meetings in Claude and ChatGPT - Desk connects to Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code in about a minute. You can ask what was agreed, who promised what or where pricing came up, and each answer comes with a quote and a link to the meeting it came from.
Lansy Desk suits people who spend much of the day on client and internal calls and want the decisions and follow-ups written down without a bot sitting in the meeting. The site's examples lean towards sales and account work: pricing objections, demos, follow-ups and deal records, where knowing who promised what by when matters.
Team leads and sales managers are the main audience for the Team plan, which adds a manager dashboard, team goals and a shared knowledge base. The skill profile is positioned as a replacement for collecting review scores by hand every six months, so it fits teams that want ongoing feedback from real calls, and it will matter less to someone who only wants notes.
Individuals can start on the Free plan, which allows 90 minutes of recording a week with bot-free recording, the recap and tasks. Desk also ships a Linux build, which the vendor's own comparison table says Fireflies, Granola and Fathom do not offer.
Things to weigh before choosing it: prices are in AED only, the Mac app needs macOS 14.2 or newer, and you remain responsible for telling participants that a call is being recorded.
