DoColorAnalysis
AI color analysis from one selfie
About DoColorAnalysis
DoColorAnalysis is an online color analysis tool that reads one daylight selfie and tells you which clothing, makeup and hair colors suit your natural coloring. In about a minute it returns your season in the 12-season system, your undertone and contrast, a 30-color palette, and the makeup, hair and jewelry colors that work for you. Traditionally this is done by an analyst who drapes fabric under your chin in daylight, which can take one to three hours and often costs a few hundred dollars. An AI color analysis reads the same signals from a photo, which is faster and much cheaper, though it is only as good as the light in that photo.
The site is open about that trade-off. If the lighting is poor, the report says so and lowers its confidence instead of guessing, and every result names a runner-up season alongside the most likely one. Beyond the report, DoColorAnalysis can put colors on your own face: AI try-ons show a lipstick, a hair shade or gold and silver jewelry on your selfie, and a stylist feature generates a photo of you dressed in your palette for a place or plan you describe. Plans are one-time payments with no subscription, and a free 12-question quiz is available for anyone who wants a likely season before paying for the photo analysis.
You begin by answering a few questions about your hair, eyes and skin, and then upload one selfie taken facing a window in daylight, with no filter and little or no makeup. JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 10 MB are accepted, and nothing is charged at this step.
Next you pick a plan. The AI reads your photo right after payment: it samples your skin, natural hair and eyes, judges undertone, value, chroma and contrast, and matches you to the 12 seasons with a runner-up and a confidence level.
Your report is saved under My reports. From there you can spend credits on try-ons, which start from your selfie and use shades from your palette, or on portraits and stylist images. If an analysis or a try-on fails, its credits return to your balance automatically, and your selfie is deleted after 30 days.
- •12-season analysis with confidence - You get your most likely season, the closest second and how sure the analysis is, with each trait explained rather than just a label.
- •Undertone and contrast reading - The report classifies you as warm, cool, neutral or olive, and scores value, chroma and contrast, each with the reason behind it.
- •30-color palette with hex codes - Wearable colors are shown as swatches with hex codes, plus six neutrals and six colors to keep away from your face, and four outfit ideas.
- •Makeup, hair and metals - The report suggests foundation undertone, blush, lip and eye shades, hair colors to try or skip, and whether gold or silver suits you.
- •AI try-ons on your own photo - For 5 credits each, a color, a hair shade, a metal or a full makeup look in matte, satin or gloss is applied to your selfie, with a slider to compare before and after.
- •Portraits and stylist images - A 4K portrait costs 10 credits, and an AI stylist image of you in a look for the occasion you describe costs 20 credits.
DoColorAnalysis suits people who are curious about seasonal color analysis but do not want to pay for an in-person draping session, and those who took a quiz and are torn between two seasons. It is useful before a hair color appointment, before buying foundation or lipstick, or when rebuilding a wardrobe around colors that suit you. The site states that it works on every skin tone and for men as well as women, since undertone, depth and contrast apply to every face. Style bloggers and personal stylists can use the try-ons and portraits to show clients a palette on their own face rather than on fabric swatches.
