About Shorts by Slice
Shorts by Slice turns one long video, such as a podcast, interview or talk, into short vertical clips ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Most clipping tools return one continuous stretch of the original, false starts and tangents included, and leave you to fix captions and framing. Slice cuts inside a clip, dropping the stumbles and tangents, rebuilds timestamps from word-level timing, and throws away any clip that starts mid-sentence, sits on the wrong speaker or contains dead air.
Its design choice is to keep the model from writing anything: the site says the model picks sentences by number and never writes text, so every caption is what was actually said. Transcription runs on AssemblyAI, and generation uses models from Anthropic and OpenAI. Shorts is part of the Slice tool suite from ADIM LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, and one subscription covers Captions by Slice and the other Slice tools. Your first video and first 3 clips are free with no card; after that it is one plan at $14.99 a month, or $149 a year.

It fits English and other Latin-script content best: captions currently cover Latin scripts and Hebrew, and Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Thai are not supported yet.
