About YourJobAgent
YourJobAgent is an AI job application agent built for job seekers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It searches public job sources for roles that fit your profile, explains why each role was recommended, tailors your CV and cover letter to the posting using only facts from your own profile, and fills in the application form for you. By default you press submit yourself; autonomous applying exists but is off unless you switch it on. The product is in an open beta and is free to use while the beta runs.
The problem it targets is the repetitive part of a serious job search: checking the same portals every evening, typing the same name, salary expectation and notice period into one form after another, and losing track of which CV version went to which company. YourJobAgent is designed around the DACH market rather than a US product with a location filter. The job search of the German Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit) is connected directly, German and English postings run through the same search, salary rules are set in euros or francs, and location rules distinguish between remote only, commuting distance and willingness to relocate. An English version targets international professionals looking for work in Germany. YourJobAgent is operated by The Useless Company PTE LTD, a company registered in Singapore, which publishes its full legal notice on the site.
You start by uploading your existing CV. YourJobAgent turns it into a structured career profile with your roles, projects, skills, languages and education, and that profile becomes the only source the agent may draw on when it writes anything for you.
Next you define career tracks. Instead of one search filter, you can describe several roles in parallel, each with its own salary floor, location rule and remote policy - for example backend roles remote only, and a head-of-engineering role where you would relocate for a higher salary. A job is recommended when it fits at least one track.
The agent then queries public job sources, merges the results into one view and collapses duplicate postings. Each match comes with a breakdown: matching skills, practical constraints and open questions are listed separately, so a score always has a reason attached.
When you decide to apply, the agent prepares a tailored CV and cover letter and, through its browser extension, fills recurring form fields on the employer's career page and attaches your documents. Questions it cannot or should not answer, such as work authorization or other legally relevant details, are moved to a Questions list and the application pauses until you respond. After submission, the application moves through a pipeline from found to review, prepared, applied, reply, interview and offer.
- •Multi-source job search - YourJobAgent queries public sources including the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit job search, Arbeitnow, company career pages and applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters and Workable, plus remote job boards and public job APIs. Results are merged and de-duplicated. The site states that portals such as LinkedIn, Indeed and Stepstone are not scraped server-side.
- •Career tracks - Several target roles can run in parallel, each with its own salary floor, location rule and remote policy. This lets you express conditional preferences, such as accepting an on-site role only above a certain salary, that ordinary checkbox filters cannot capture.
- •Explainable matching - Every recommended role shows what the fit rests on, split into skills, practical constraints and salary, along with points worth checking before you apply, such as a required number of years of experience your profile does not cover.
- •Tailored CV and cover letter - Documents are adjusted per posting so that relevant experience and the posting's wording move to the front in an ATS-friendly structure. The site states that generated documents may only contain experience your profile supports, and each statement is checked against your profile.
- •Browser extension and adjustable automation - Four levels control how much the agent does: find only, prepare documents, pre-fill the form through the browser extension while you click submit, or an opt-in autonomous mode that is off by default and pauses whenever a required question is open.
- •Application tracker and passive search - The CV version used, submission status, replies and interview dates stay attached to each application. For people who are not actively looking, the agent can watch the market and only report roles that clear a threshold you set, such as a higher salary or a fully remote role, without a public open-to-work signal.
YourJobAgent fits professionals looking for work in Germany, Austria or Switzerland who are tired of re-entering the same details on every career page and want one place to see matches, documents and application status. Its source coverage is currently broadest for Germany and for technical roles, so software engineers, data specialists and other technical professionals are likely to get the most out of the beta.
International professionals who want a job in Germany but are not fully comfortable in German can use the English version, which runs German and English postings through the same search. Employed people who are open to a move but not actively searching can use the passive mode to be notified only when a role beats their current situation on salary, remote work or seniority. Candidates pursuing more than one direction at once, for example an individual contributor role and a leadership role with different location and salary conditions, can keep both searches running as separate career tracks. Because autonomous submitting is off by default and sensitive questions are always routed back to the user, it also suits job seekers who want automation for the repetitive work while keeping the final decision on every application in their own hands.
