Vero
AI medical scribe - the workspace for modern care
About Vero
Vero is an AI clinical documentation platform built around an AI medical scribe. A clinician records the visit, types or uploads audio, and Vero drafts a structured note in the clinician's own template before the patient leaves the room. Around that core it adds the rest of the paperwork a visit creates: ICD-10 code suggestions for review, filled PDF forms, referral letters and sick notes, patient instructions, and clinical questions answered with cited sources. The company describes it as the workspace for modern care, with every tool for the visit in one place, and says it is built for 200+ specialties in 60+ languages.
The problem it targets is charting time. Documentation is the part of clinical work that follows clinicians home, and Vero's pitch is that the note, the codes and the forms should already be done when the visit ends. It was started by two brothers, one a physician and one a software engineer, and the site says it was shaped by 100+ clinicians. Privacy is treated as a baseline rather than an add-on: Vero states that it is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 Type II certified on every plan, that recordings are used to write the note and are never stored, that patient data is never used to train AI models, and that notes auto-delete after 1 to 365 days on a schedule you set. Pricing is freemium: a Free plan with 10 actions a month, Pro at $89 a month month to month or $69 a month billed yearly with unlimited actions, and a custom Enterprise plan for clinics and health systems.
Before the visit, you can ask Vero about the patient. It pulls the last visit, medications and plan from past notes, so you walk in already briefed, and it can check the guidelines if a question comes up while the patient is still in the waiting room.
During the visit, you start a recording on your phone, in the browser or on the desktop app, and carry on as usual. Vero also captures Zoom and Microsoft Teams visits from the browser tab audio. It transcribes 60+ languages and can follow up to three in a single visit, which helps when a patient and a family member switch languages, while the finished note is written in the language you chart in. You can combine recording, typing, dictation and uploaded documents in one encounter, and Vero keeps recording offline and syncs when you reconnect.
When you finish, Vero writes the note in your chosen template, whether SOAP, H&P, discharge summary or a custom format, with ICD-10 codes to review and after-visit tasks drafted. You review, edit and sign. Every edit you make teaches Vero how you write, so later notes sound more like you. From the same encounter you can generate a patient handout, a sick note, a referral letter or a filled PDF form, then export, print or email them.
- •
AI Medical Scribe - Vero turns a recorded, typed, dictated or uploaded visit into a structured note in your template, ready seconds after you finish. You choose the level of detail (concise, balanced or detailed) and whether the note uses quotes, abbreviations, bullets or paragraphs. Templates can be built from scratch or taken from a community library that includes specialty templates.
- •
Vero Chat - An AI assistant inside the note editor. You can ask it to refine a section, change the format or level of detail, generate patient instructions, or answer a question about the patient, with medications, labs and plan pulled from the chart. The clinician makes the final call on every change.
- •
Vero Evidence - Clinical questions get answers that cite the guideline or study behind them. Vero says it searches more than 27 million peer-reviewed articles and guidelines, grades sources on four levels of evidence, factors in the patient attached to the note, and offers guidance for the region where you practice.
- •
Vero Documents and Forms - Upload any fillable PDF form once and Vero completes it from the visit. It also drafts referral letters and sick notes, builds notes from uploaded documents, and reads handwriting and scans as text, so paperwork comes out of the same encounter as the note.
- •
Coding, Billing and Follow-Through - Vero suggests ICD-10 codes from the finished note for you to review, produces billing codes from clinical notes with a daily billing code overview, and reviews each note for red flags and missing details (for example an undocumented screening) before drafting follow-up tasks.
- •
Privacy and Every Device - HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 Type II certification apply on every plan, audio is not stored, patient data is not used for training, encryption is AES-256, multi-factor sign-in is included and notes auto-delete on your schedule. Vero runs on iPhone, Android, Mac and the web, all on the same encounter.
Vero is aimed at clinicians who spend too much of their day on documentation. Primary care and family medicine physicians with full clinic schedules can let it draft SOAP notes, codes and follow-up tasks while they stay focused on the patient. Emergency physicians who dictate between patients, surgeons who need procedure templates, and therapists, psychiatrists and occupational therapists who write longer narrative or assessment notes are all named in testimonials on the site, along with dentistry, dermatology, chiropractic and veterinary users.
It also suits clinicians who see patients in more than one language, since it follows up to three languages in a visit and writes the note in the charting language, and those running telehealth visits on Zoom or Teams. Solo practitioners can start on the Free plan, which keeps 10 actions a month after a 7-day full-access trial, and move to Pro for unlimited use. Students, residents and other trainees can ask about a Pro discount. Clinics, facilities and hospital networks that need SSO, organization management, custom data retention, a team dashboard, centralized invoice billing and dedicated support can contact Vero about Enterprise.
