Denoisa
Free AI background noise remover for audio and video
About Denoisa
Denoisa is a browser-based AI background noise remover for voice recordings and videos. You upload a recording, listen to the cleaned version and download it once it sounds right. It turns down traffic, wind, fans and air conditioning, electrical hum, café chatter, hiss and background music while keeping the speaker's voice at its original level and tone. Files up to 5 minutes are free with no sign-up and no watermark.
Denoisa uses models trained on speech rather than the fixed noise profile that older noise reduction subtracts, which the site says lets it handle changing noise without leaving the voice muffled or robotic. It offers two modes. Standard runs inside your browser, so the file never leaves your device, and is free. Enhanced is stronger on hiss and background music, runs on Denoisa's servers only when you choose it, and uses two credits per minute. Neither mode generates a new voice, so they will not add words or change how you sound. The team also publishes its test recordings and measurements, including where Standard falls short.
Step one is to upload your recording. Denoisa accepts MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC and OGG audio and MP4, MOV and WebM video, straight from a phone or computer, with files up to 60 minutes.
Step two is to preview. You can listen to 30 seconds of the cleaned version for free and switch between before and after, and you can preview both Standard and Enhanced on your own file before deciding which to use.
Step three is to download the clean file. Files up to 5 minutes are cleaned and downloaded in full for free. Longer files use 1 credit per minute with Standard or 2 with Enhanced. Video files come back with the original picture untouched: with Standard, the picture is copied exactly and only the sound is replaced, so there is no re-encoding.
- •Speech-trained noise removal - Models trained on speech separate the voice from everything else and turn the rest down, covering traffic, wind, crowd chatter, fans, hum, hiss and music.
- •Private Standard mode - Standard cleans your recording inside the browser, so nothing is uploaded. Only Enhanced sends audio to Denoisa's servers, and only when you click.
- •Enhanced mode - A stronger model for hiss and background music under speech, with automatic credit refunds if an Enhanced file fails.
- •Video soundtrack cleanup - Upload an MP4 or MOV and get the same video back with a clean soundtrack, without re-encoding the picture.
- •Free 5-minute files - Clean and download whole files up to 5 minutes with no account and no watermark, not just a preview.
- •Flexible billing - Pay-as-you-go credit packs that never expire, or a monthly or yearly plan with 1,200 credits a month for regular use.
Denoisa is aimed at people who record on the go: video creators filming in the street, podcasters and interviewers working in noisy rooms, and anyone recording voice notes, lectures or meetings on a phone. Creators who would otherwise open Audacity, Premiere or DaVinci, capture a noise profile and tune sliders can get a result from a single upload with no settings.
Short clips are covered by the free tier, occasional users can buy a credit pack that never expires, and people who record every week can take the subscription.
