TaleHalo
Personalized picture books starring your child
About TaleHalo
TaleHalo makes private, personalized picture books with your child as the hero. A parent enters the child's name, age and a few favorite things, and TaleHalo drafts a twelve-page illustrated story with read-aloud narration. The marketing pages do not use the word AI, but the privacy policy states that TaleHalo uses service providers for story and image generation and narration, and refers to generated artwork, so the writing, illustrations and voice are machine-generated, with the parent approving each stage.
The product is built around checkpoints and privacy. Each step pauses so you can read, change or approve it before the next one begins: first the story, then the illustrations, then the voice. Your child appears as the same recognizable character on the cover and on every page, drawn from a written description rather than a photo upload. Books are private by default, kept in a signed-in family library, and shared only through links you can revoke. Every family account includes one complete first book.
Step one is a short private profile: the child's name or a nickname, their age, one of four reading levels, a description of their appearance in your own words, and up to ten favorite animals, toys and ideas each, such as a pet rabbit, a red scooter or finding courage.
Step two, TaleHalo drafts the twelve pages. You can rewrite any line, add another reading language and keep every version.
Step three, you approve the illustrations, which keep the child's character consistent across the cover and all twelve pages. Step four, you listen to a sample of page one, approve the narration voice, then read on any screen, print the book, or share it with family.
- •Twelve-page personalized story - Each book has a 12-page story, 15 coordinated illustrations and full narration, written to the reading level you choose.
- •Parent approval at every step - Nothing moves forward or becomes shareable until you approve the story, the illustrations and the voice.
- •Consistent character without photos - The child is drawn from your description, with no photo upload needed.
- •Bilingual reading - Write the story in English or Spanish, then add reading languages page by page; the sample book reads in languages including Chinese, Arabic, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Turkish.
- •Two free redos per book - Failed attempts never use up your book allowance.
- •Private family library - Books stay in the signed-in family workspace by default, with revocable sharing controls.
TaleHalo is aimed at parents and guardians who want a bedtime story starring their own child, for birthdays, seasons, milestones or ordinary nights. Bilingual families can read the same book in more than one language, and the four reading levels let the text grow with the child.
Families who want a steady supply of new books can join Story Club for two books a month, or 24 a year on annual billing. Those who want a single story for one moment, or a set for siblings and gifts, can buy one-time bundles whose unused allowance does not expire. Parents who would rather not upload photos of their children may value that no photo is needed.
