Clark Reads
A written, quote-backed read of your WhatsApp or iMessage group chat
About Clark Reads
Clark Reads is a WhatsApp chat analyzer that also reads iMessage. You upload an exported conversation and it writes a long-form, plain-language report about the whole thread: the roles people play, the rivalries, the running jokes and the weeks where everything went quiet. Every finding is anchored to exact lines from the chat, and the site says those quotes are validated against the original text and never rewritten, so you can check the reasoning yourself instead of trusting a score.
The product is built around group chats rather than couples. A family group, a friend group or a work team is treated as several relationships running at once, and Clark accounts for every participant in the thread. There is no number out of ten and no mood label; the output is a written read with chapters hung on quotes. The site is explicit that it is not therapy, not legal advice and not a way to find out what someone really thinks. Pricing is a free preview plus a single $9.90 payment per report, with no subscription.
First you export the conversation from WhatsApp, up to 20,000 messages, or prepare a plain-text iMessage file. Photos, videos and voice notes are stripped on your own device before anything is sent; only the text is uploaded, because that is what has to be read to write the report.
Clark then reads the whole thread in order. The site says nothing is sampled and nothing is skipped.
When the report is ready you can read the opening, addressed to you by name, and the first half of chapter one (about 3,000 characters) for free with no card. If the rest is worth it, a one-time $9.90 payment unlocks every chapter and every quote for that report, permanently. Payment happens on the report page after you have read the free part.
- •Whole-thread reading - The full exported conversation is read in order, up to 20,000 messages for WhatsApp exports, rather than a sample of it.
- •Quotes you can check - Each chapter rests on verbatim lines from the chat, rendered as chat bubbles in the language they were written in and matched back to a real line in your export.
- •Built for groups - Multi-person by default: family groups, friend groups, work teams, couples and exes, with every participant accounted for.
- •Free preview before payment - The opening and the first half of chapter one are free to read, and nothing is charged before you choose to unlock the rest.
- •Deletion on a schedule - Uploads are deleted within 48 hours if no report is ordered and within 7 days of your most recent report. The site states chats are never used to train AI models, never sold and never shared, and an account can be deleted in one click.
- •Private sharing - Each report has its own link, but nothing leaves your account until you send it, and the link is kept out of search engines.
Clark Reads is aimed at people curious about the story of a long-running group chat: a family group that has been going for years, a friend group, a work team, or a couple looking back at their messages. The fictional sample report covers one five-person group, five years and fifteen thousand messages across seven chapters, which shows the scale it is designed for.
It suits someone who wants a written, quote-backed read they can argue with, rather than a sentiment score. Because the price is per report and nothing renews, it fits a one-off look at a chat more than ongoing monitoring. It is not a counselling or legal tool, and the site says so plainly.
