Auferet
The AI Game Master that remembers your world
About Auferet
Auferet is an AI Game Master built around the single thing most AI adventure games fail at. Run any of them long enough and the story quietly falls apart: the companion you have travelled with for forty turns forgets their own name, the town changes character, and the rules of the setting you established stop applying. That happens because a typical AI GM feeds the model one fixed window of recent text, so the oldest details drop out the moment your story outgrows it. Auferet is structured the other way round, keeping what you establish in dedicated libraries rather than hoping it survives in the context window.
Three of them do the work: an Event Library for world facts, factions and history, a Character Library for NPCs, and a World Map for places, alongside a searchable record of the whole adventure so the GM can look back and retrieve something from far earlier. You can also upload your own lore, worldbooks or notes as PDF or text and have them worked into the story. Their own illustration of the payoff is a good one: you give an innkeeper a false name on your first night, and many sessions later it is still written in the ledger when a clerk checks the land deed. Nothing scripted that callback, it simply stayed in the record. The memory system is identical on every plan including the free one, which is a deliberate choice worth noting, since memory is exactly the feature most comparable products put behind the paywall.
Describe your character in a sentence or two and say where the story begins, or skip setup entirely with a Fantasy, Sci-fi, Horror, Mystery or Heist starting scenario. Choose whether the AI crafts the opening scene or you write your own. From there you type what you do in plain language and the world responds: the GM narrates, voices every NPC, and reacts to your choices rather than following pre-written branches. Inventory, traits and status effects update themselves as you play, and quests and NPC relationships are tracked as they develop. Add lore, upload documents and adjust settings as your world grows. Play freeform, or switch to the 5e or Pathfinder 2e modes for stat tracking and rules with a built-in dice roller. Adventures autosave in the browser and can be downloaded as files to continue later or share.

Made for solo players who want a campaign without assembling a group, and for anyone who has watched an AI adventure lose the thread around turn fifty and given up on it. Worldbuilders with existing lore get the most distinctive value here, since uploading a setting and having it hold across a long campaign is the hard part. Tabletop players get genuine 5e and Pathfinder 2e rules support rather than freeform improvisation wearing the label, and small groups can share one adventure in real time. One thing to know before signing up: Auferet runs with content filters off by design, so stories can go to mature and dark places when you take them there, though the Game Master will not introduce graphic content on its own.
