About PicReword
PicReword is an AI image text editor for changing words that are already baked into a picture. The situation it exists for is common and genuinely annoying: an event graphic, a poster or a promotional image needs a date changed or a typo fixed, and the original layered design file is gone, or was never yours to begin with. Rebuilding the whole graphic to alter four characters is disproportionate, and a plain image editor leaves an obvious patch where the old text used to be.
The tool takes the uploaded image, the original wording or its location, and the replacement text, then regenerates that region while attempting to match the existing lettering and the surface behind it. Matching the font and rebuilding that background is the entire difficulty of this task, and it is what the product is built around. Several changes can be applied to one image in a single pass, which counts as one generation. Pricing is one-time credit packs with no subscription, paid credits never expire, and credits are returned when a generation fails for technical reasons.
Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB. Enter the text you want replaced, identifying it by the original wording or by its position when the same words appear more than once, for example the heading at the top rather than the same phrase further down.
Add the replacement wording, and add further changes if more than one piece of text needs updating. All changes to a single image are applied together and cost one credit between them.
Review the result before downloading. Output is at 2K, and a history panel keeps recent results so a discarded attempt can be retrieved. Because the edit is regenerated rather than pasted over, the result is worth checking rather than assuming, which is exactly why the review step sits before the download.
- •Text replacement with font matching - Attempts to reproduce the original lettering rather than pasting new type over the old, which is the difference between a fix and a visible patch.
- •Background reconstruction - Rebuilds the surface behind replaced text so a removed word does not leave a block of flat colour.
- •Several edits in one pass - Multiple text changes apply to one image for a single credit, rather than charging per word changed.
- •Positional targeting - Identify text by where it sits when the same wording appears more than once in the same image.
- •2K output with a review step - Results are shown before download, and recent results stay in a history panel.
- •Credits that do not expire - One-time packs rather than a subscription, with credits refunded on technical failures.
Made for social media managers updating dates on recurring event graphics, small business owners changing prices or details on promotional images they have no source files for, and marketers localising existing creative into another language without commissioning a redesign. Anyone who inherited brand assets as flat images will recognise the problem it solves.
It is not a design tool and does not claim to be: it changes text in an existing image rather than producing new layouts. Heavily stylised lettering, very small text and complex textured backgrounds are the cases most likely to need a second attempt, and the free allowance is a single edit after signup rather than an ongoing free tier, so evaluation before paying is limited.
