Image Layer Separator takes a flat image and pulls it apart into the layers it would have had if you had built it yourself. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP, and it detects the separable elements, previews them, and exports either individual transparent PNGs or a single layered PSD that opens in Photoshop with the layers intact.
The use case this solves is common and genuinely annoying. You have a product shot, a composite or a piece of artwork as one flattened file, and you need the subject without its background, or the text separated from the image behind it, or the foreground moved independently. Doing that by hand is masking work. Doing it badly leaves halos. This is a narrower job than a general photo editor and the tool is scoped to it rather than trying to be an editor as well.
