Schem Canvas
Turn a text description into a Minecraft build schematic
About Schem Canvas
Schem Canvas is a web tool that generates Minecraft builds from a text description. You describe one structure, such as a Japanese pagoda, a canopy treehouse, a coastal lighthouse or a compact stone castle, and it produces a 3D build you can inspect, adjust and download as a Java Edition .schem file. You then import that file into your world with WorldEdit. It saves the time of planning and placing a build block by block when you want a starting point for a specific landmark.
The tool is deliberately scoped to focused structures rather than whole worlds. Its own guidance says it works best on one house, tower, temple, bridge or compact castle with a clear style, materials and approximate size, and that whole cities, villages, large landscapes, working redstone or command-block systems, and Bedrock export are outside what it does. It is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. The free plan gives one AI generation per week; paid passes are one-time purchases with no subscription.
Describe your build with its style, core materials such as stone, oak or spruce, its size and key features like floors, windows or a courtyard. An example prompt from the site is a compact stone castle with four corner towers, battlements, a central courtyard and a front gateway. Quick templates and an Inspire button help if you have no idea yet.
The generator returns a 3D preview. Check the shape, dimensions and materials, edit it manually, or request an AI revision. Previewing, manually editing and downloading do not use generations; each new generation or AI revision uses one, and a generation that fails from a system error is returned to your allowance.
When it looks right, download the .schem file and import it into Minecraft Java with WorldEdit. Builds are private projects by default.
- •Text to Minecraft build - Turn a written brief into a 3D structure with chosen materials and size.
- •Interactive 3D preview - Inspect dimensions and materials before you place a single block.
- •Manual editing and AI revisions - Adjust the build by hand for free or ask for an AI change.
- •Java .schem export - Download a schematic ready to import with WorldEdit.
- •Image to pixel art - A separate tool that converts an image into a flat wall or floor schematic, not a 3D building.
- •Gallery and guides - Example builds such as a pirate ship, steampunk airship and mushroom house, plus prompt and import guides.
Schem Canvas suits Minecraft Java players who want a finished landmark for a survival base or creative world without designing it from scratch, server builders who need decorative structures, and players who want ideas they can then refine by hand.
Casual builders can stay on the free weekly generation. Those trying several directions on one project can buy a Starter or Builder pack, valid for 12 months. Bedrock players should note that only Java .schem export is supported.
