FreeGPT.IM is a browser front end for OpenAI GPT Image models that lets you generate and edit images without an account, subject to daily limits. It is an independent third-party service and is not operated by or affiliated with OpenAI, despite the name and the "Powered by OpenAI" framing on the site, which carries no disclaimer of its own. What it actually offers is straightforward: access to a current image model with no signup wall, which is genuinely useful for anyone who wants to try a model before deciding whether to pay anyone for it.
The generator covers both text to image and image to image, so an existing photo can be uploaded as a reference and edited by description. Aspect ratio and resolution are selectable, with the credit cost displayed before submission. A template and example gallery gives starting points, and anonymous output appears in public examples while paid output does not.
The paid side is worth understanding before you plan around it. Monthly subscriptions are listed at $19.99, $29.99 and $49.99, but the page states that payments are not connected yet and that no plan can be purchased, and every tier button reads unavailable. So the free tier is not a lead-in to a product you can buy today, it is currently the whole product.
