About Photoleap

Photoleap is Lightricks' general-purpose photo editor, and the counterpart to Facetune in the same portfolio: where Facetune works on faces, Photoleap works on everything else. It covers the jobs that sit between a phone camera roll and a finished image - removing a stranger from a holiday photo, cutting a subject out of its background, combining several shots into one composition.

The problem it addresses is that the useful operations in photo editing are destructive and fiddly. Removing an object from a photo traditionally means cloning pixels by hand; separating a subject from its background means drawing a mask. Both are desktop tasks that take practice. Photoleap does them as single operations on a phone, which changes them from a project into something you do while waiting for a train.

Photoleap is developed by Lightricks alongside Facetune, Videoleap and LTX Studio. The app is free to download with a set of free tools, and the full feature set is behind a subscription with a seven-day trial.
