Remake a viral video format with one photo of yourself

Overview

About CastTake

CastTake takes a viral short-form video format and remakes it with your face in it. You supply one photograph, pick a template, and it renders a version of that format using your likeness rather than the original creator's.

The premise rests on an observation about how short-form platforms work. A format goes viral and then several thousand people remake it, and the remakes do well precisely because the format is already proven and the algorithm is already distributing it. The bottleneck for most people is that remaking a format requires filming yourself doing it. This removes the filming.

The template framing is doing real work here, and it is a better fit for a language model than a blank prompt would be. A format has a known structure, a known length and known camera moves, so the generation problem is constrained. The site even gives guidance per template, noting for example that one changes camera angle often and therefore wants a clear unfiltered face to work from.

Pricing

One time purchase, not a subscription

No free tier

No free tier. The first remake is 2.99 USD once, one per account, for a 15-second clip. After that it is one-time credit packs that do not renew: Starter 9.90 USD for 990 credits, Pro 19.90 for 2,200, Ultimate 29.90 for 3,900 and Studio Pack 39.90 for 4,800, and packs can be bought in multiples. A monthly Studio plan at 69.99 USD for 13,850 credits exists for daily posting. Credits last 90 days and a commercial licence is included. Because the main model is one-time purchases the monthly price columns are left empty.
