Audio Enhancer AI
Reduce background noise and make speech clearer in voice recordings
About Audio Enhancer AI
Audio Enhancer AI is a web tool for cleaning up spoken recordings. You give it a podcast, an interview, a voice note, a lecture or a narration track, and it reduces background noise such as fan noise and hiss and makes the speech easier to follow. It cleans the audio you already have rather than generating a new voice, and it lets you play the original and the enhanced version side by side before you download anything.
The tool has two modes. The free mode runs a voice model locally in your browser, needs no account and accepts files up to 10 minutes; it produces mono 16 kHz audio and exports WAV. Pro processes recordings online for higher-quality enhancement, with no fixed duration limit, files up to 300 MB, and video support for MP4 and MOV. Pro is sold as processing time you buy once rather than a subscription, and purchased time does not expire. The site is open about its limits: heavy echo, clipping, overlapping voices and speech buried in loud noise may stay hard to fix, and music or singing may be altered because the tool focuses on speech. It is run by an individual operator based in Kunming, China, according to its terms, and its changelog shows the free browser enhancer launched in May 2026 and Pro long-audio processing in July 2026.
Start on the homepage and choose a recording. The free mode accepts MP3, WAV, M4A and AAC audio; codec support depends on your browser. The browser model loads on first use, then processes the file on your device without uploading it.
Click Enhance. The tool checks the file, reduces noise and improves speech clarity. When it finishes you can switch between the original and the enhanced playback and listen to the same phrase in both versions, so you decide whether the result is worth keeping. If it is, you download the enhanced WAV.
For longer recordings or video, sign in and use Pro. Pro uploads the file for cloud processing and shows the processing time it will use before you start. A job is charged by the length of the source audio, rounded up to the next whole second, with a 15-second minimum per job. Videos always use Pro: H.264 or HEVC video with a single audio track is supported up to 2 GB, and you get back an enhanced video in its original format with the original picture. Cloud tasks and their results stay in your account history, and if a Pro job fails the deducted processing time is restored automatically.
- •Free in-browser enhancement - Recordings up to 10 minutes per file are processed locally on your device with no account, which keeps the audio on your own computer. Output is a mono 16 kHz WAV.
- •Noise reduction and voice clarity - The enhancer targets background noise like fans and hiss and boosts speech clarity for podcasts, phone recordings, interviews and narration, without synthesizing a replacement voice.
- •Original versus enhanced comparison - A built-in player lets you switch between the two versions before downloading, so you can judge the result by ear rather than trusting a preset.
- •Pro cloud processing for long files - Pro removes the 10-minute cap, accepts audio files up to 300 MB with no duration limit, and is described as higher-quality enhancement than the free browser model.
- •Video in, video out - Pro takes MP4 or MOV uploads up to 2 GB and returns the same video in its original format with the enhanced soundtrack, which saves exporting and re-syncing audio by hand.
- •One-time processing time - Pro time is bought in packs (20, 120 or 400 minutes) with no subscription or automatic renewal. Unused time stays in the account with no expiry, and failed jobs return their time.
Audio Enhancer AI suits podcasters and interviewers who record outside a treated room and want a cleaner starting point before editing. Course creators and people recording explainers or narration can use it to tidy lessons and voiceovers before adding them to a video. Anyone who keeps voice memos or meeting recordings can run short files through the free browser mode without signing up or uploading anything.
The one-time packs fit occasional users who do not want another monthly subscription: buy a small amount of time for one project and keep the rest for later. Video creators who need the sound in an MP4 or MOV cleaned up can do it in Pro without separating the audio first.
It is not a music tool. The site says it does not master music or separate stems, and it is honest that badly distorted or missing speech may remain unclear, so it is best treated as a speech cleanup step rather than a full audio workstation.
