A tech newspaper rebuilt every four hours

Overview

About TechTwitter

TechTwitter is a tech news site that rebuilds itself every four hours, presented as a newspaper rather than an infinite feed. It positions itself against Product Hunt and Hacker News, covering the same territory of launches, industry news, jobs and discussion, but with an editorial layout and a fixed refresh rhythm instead of continuous scroll.

The four-hour cycle is the design decision worth noticing. A feed that updates constantly rewards checking constantly, which is the behaviour most people are trying to reduce. An edition that changes six times a day can be read and finished, which is a different relationship with the same information. Alongside the news it runs comparison tables of current language models, with published benchmark scores, throughput in tokens per second and cost, which is unusual for a general tech publication.
