FurniMesh
AI image to 3D model generator for furniture
About FurniMesh
FurniMesh is a narrow tool that does one thing properly: it turns a photograph of a piece of furniture into a production-ready 3D model in about sixty seconds. Upload a chair, sofa, table or lamp, and the AI removes the background, infers depth, builds a textured mesh and exports it. Generic image-to-3D models tend to struggle with the specifics of furniture, where the silhouette of a chair leg or the drape of upholstery has to survive the conversion. Specialising narrows the problem enough to make the output usable in a real design pipeline rather than as a novelty.
The platform is operated by UAB FURNISYSTEMS, a Lithuania-based company funded by the European Union under the NextGenerationEU recovery plan. It reports 22,000+ designers, retailers, architects and 3D artists across more than 100 countries, who have generated over 71,000 furniture models to date. Beyond generation, FurniMesh hosts a library of more than 10,000 free 3D models and a built-in file converter reaching 14+ additional formats. Every generated model ships with a commercial-use license with no attribution requirement, which matters for client work and product listings. The free tier covers roughly ten model generations plus unlimited access to the converter, with no credit card required.
Upload any furniture photo in JPEG, JPG, PNG or WebP; plain backgrounds and even lighting produce the best results. The AI then removes the background, infers depth from the single image, builds a textured mesh and exports it, taking around sixty seconds end to end. Download in whichever of the four native formats suits your pipeline: GLB for web and AR, OBJ as a universal interchange, SKP for SketchUp or BLEND for Blender. If you need something else, run the file through the built-in converter to reach FBX, STL, GLTF, IFC, USDZ, DAE and more. Models open natively in SketchUp, Blender, 3ds Max and Corona Renderer, so there is no conversion friction between FurniMesh and the tools you already use.
- •Single Photo to Textured Mesh - One furniture photograph becomes a finished textured 3D model in under sixty seconds, with background removal and depth inference handled automatically
- •Four Native Export Formats - GLB, OBJ, SKP and BLEND straight out of the generator, matching the four most common furniture visualisation pipelines
- •Built-In Format Converter - Reaches 14+ further formats including FBX, STL, GLTF, IFC, USDZ and DAE, and is free and unlimited even on the free tier
- •Commercial-Use License - Every output is licensed for client work, products, AR and marketing with no attribution required
- •10,000+ Model Library - A browsable library of free furniture models available alongside your own generations, with full library access on paid plans
- •AR Viewing and Embeddable Widgets - Paid plans add AR viewing and embeddable model widgets for product pages and configurators
- •Private Models - Paid plans keep generated models private rather than contributing them to the public library
- •Native Tool Compatibility - Models open directly in SketchUp, Blender, 3ds Max and Corona Renderer without an intermediate conversion step
Built for furniture retailers and manufacturers who need 3D assets for product pages, configurators and AR previews without commissioning each one, interior designers and architects who want a real model of a specific piece a client has pointed at, and 3D artists who would rather start from a generated base mesh than block one out from scratch. Ecommerce teams adding AR try-in-your-room features get the clearest win, since the bottleneck there is almost always asset production. Photographers and catalogue producers can turn an existing shoot into an interactive asset library.
