SoundClean
AI noise removal for audio and video files
About SoundClean
SoundClean is a browser-based AI tool that cleans up noisy voice recordings. You upload an audio or video file, it reduces wind, hiss, hum, fan noise, static and traffic, and you download a cleaner version. It is aimed at the people who record in real rooms rather than studios: podcasters on a laptop mic, YouTubers filming outdoors, teachers recording lessons, and anyone with an interview or voice note that is hard to listen to.
What sets it apart from a full audio editor is how little it asks of you. There are no tracks, plugins or EQ curves to learn. You drop in a file and hear a 10-second cleaned preview first, toggling between the original and the cleaned audio, and you only pay when the result sounds right. Video files are handled directly, so you do not need to separate the soundtrack first. Pricing is built for both occasional and regular use: pay per download, buy processing hours once, or subscribe to a low-cost monthly plan. The operator is not named on the site's Terms page.
Step one is the upload. You drag and drop an audio or video file into the browser, up to 500 MB. Supported formats include MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and OGG for audio, and MP4, M4V and MOV for video.
Step two is the preview. SoundClean runs AI noise reduction on the file and creates a short cleaned preview. You can switch between the original and the cleaned version to judge the difference on your own recording, not a demo clip.
Step three is the download. If the preview sounds right, you download the full-length cleaned file. A single download starts at $0.50. For regular work, the Creator plan includes 30 hours of processing each month, and pay-as-you-go hour packs cover irregular workloads without a subscription.
For larger jobs you can upload several files at once and track the cleanup progress of each from your dashboard.
- •
AI noise removal - Reduce wind, hiss, hum, fan noise, static, traffic and other background distractions in one upload flow, without manual noise profiling or filter settings.
- •
Preview before paying - Every file gets a free 10-second cleaned preview with an original and cleaned toggle, so you can hear the result on your own audio before spending anything.
- •
Audio and video support - Clean common audio formats (MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG) and video formats (MP4, M4V, MOV) directly, with uploads up to 500 MB.
- •
Bulk upload - Upload multiple files and follow each one's cleanup progress from the dashboard, which helps when you are processing a series of episodes or lessons.
- •
Flexible pricing - Pay per download, buy 5, 10, 30 or 60 processing hours once, or subscribe to Creator at $6 a month for 30 hours, which the site says is about half the pay-as-you-go rate.
- •
No editing skills needed - The workflow is built for creators who want clearer speech, not for engineers mixing a track, so there is nothing to configure beyond choosing the file.
Podcasters can fix noisy recordings without redoing a session, reducing hum, buzz and room echo. YouTubers and video creators can improve the sound of a clip before publishing so viewers stay focused on speech and voiceovers. Marketers can clean voiceovers and promotional audio without studio gear or complex software.
Educators who record lessons and training material in ordinary rooms can make the voice track clearer. Casual users can rescue phone recordings, voice notes and interviews. Audio engineers can use it as a quick first pass before detailed mixing, mastering or client review.
Because the free option is a preview rather than a free download, SoundClean suits people who are happy to pay small amounts per file once they have heard the result.
