About Tera Studio
Tera Studio is a web-based AI voice studio that puts your own singing voice onto songs. You sing 1 minute into your phone (the site says 2 minutes sounds more like you), it learns your voice in about 20 minutes, and from then on a song you give it comes back with the lead vocal sung in that voice. The site pitches it for personal covers, gift songs such as a birthday song for a parent, and hearing yourself on a song you could never quite hit.
The distinctive part is what it does not change. Tera Studio treats the original vocal performance as the reference and swaps only whose voice it is in, keeping phrasing, breath, vibrato, dynamics and feel. It works on songs with a clear lead vocal, and the homepage lists 12 languages, including English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Hindi and Arabic.
Cloning is consent-first: you train on your own voice or one you have written permission for, the trained voice is locked to your account, and you convert songs you have the rights to, such as your own track or a friend's demo. Pricing is shaped around downloads rather than quality. Every plan runs the same engine, the free tier is listen-only on the website, and paying is what lets a finished song leave the site. Payments are non-refundable, so the site asks you to hear the free previews first.
First you train it. You record 1 to 5 minutes of singing on your phone (2 minutes of clear singing is recommended). Training takes about 20 minutes, and the voice is saved for every song after.
Next you upload a track you have the rights to and choose the whole song or just the part you want, up to 5 minutes on paid plans and 4 minutes for free previews. Your voice takes over the lead vocal while the melody, words and timing stay as they were. The first song comes back in about 20 minutes.
Then you listen on the website. On Starter or Creator you can download a full-quality WAV and make a song-card video, and each song includes one guided correction if part of it does not come out right. Re-downloading never uses more minutes, and if something fails on Tera's side the minutes come back.
- •Private voice training - One private voice per account, trained from a short phone recording. The site states that nobody else can use or hear it.
- •Performance-preserving conversion - The lead vocal is replaced with your voice while the breaths, vibrato and dynamics of the original take are kept, across pop, R&B, country, rock, K-pop, Latin and Bollywood.
- •Whole song or a section - Convert a full song or only the part you care about. Paid plans are metered in finished minutes (30 a month on Starter, 90 on Creator) that refresh monthly and do not roll over.
- •WAV downloads and guided correction - Paid plans export full-quality WAV files that can be re-downloaded at any time, with one guided correction per song.
- •Song-card videos - Turn a finished song into a vertical video for TikTok, Reels or Shorts, with a chosen look, a note and a 15, 30 or 60-second clip. Editing a card uses no extra minutes.
- •Free side tools - A vocal remover, acapella maker and karaoke maker (free account needed), plus a key changer, vocal range test, BPM and key finder and song cutter with no sign-up.
Tera Studio suits hobby singers making covers, people making a personal gift such as a birthday, anniversary or first-dance song, and creators who want a short vertical clip of a cover. Musicians with their own tracks or demos can hear a part in their own voice, within the rule that you only convert material you have the rights to.
It needs an existing song with a clear lead vocal and a recording of your own singing; it does not generate music from a text prompt. The free tier is listen-only, so anyone who wants a file to keep or share needs Starter ($8.99/month) or Creator ($19.99/month).
