About Brisk Teaching
Brisk Teaching is a Chrome extension rather than a website you visit, and that single design decision is most of what separates it from the rest of this category. It puts AI marking, feedback and lesson tools directly inside Google Docs, Slides and Classroom, which is where a great many teachers already do all of their work.
The argument for that shape is adoption rather than capability. A separate platform means a separate login, a separate tab, and a separate thing to remember exists, and teacher software dies of being forgotten more often than of being bad. A tool that appears in the document a teacher already has open does not need to be remembered.
The feedback use is the strongest one. Giving written feedback on student work is among the most time-consuming things a teacher does, and doing it inside the student's own Google Doc rather than in a separate tool removes the copying back and forth that usually eats the time saved.
You install the Chrome extension. There is no account to provision before you can try it, which is the point.
Working inside a student's Google Doc, you can generate feedback, inspect the document's revision history to see how the work was actually produced, and mark against a rubric without leaving the page.
For planning, the same extension generates lesson plans, rubrics and other teaching material, again inside the Google tools rather than beside them.
School plans add the administrative layer a district needs, and are quoted rather than published.

Teachers in Google Workspace schools, which is a very large share of them. The value is concentrated there and largely unavailable elsewhere, because the whole product is an extension to Google's tools.
Anyone whose main time cost is marking and feedback rather than planning. That is the use this is sharpest at, and it is a different emphasis from the lesson-plan generators.
It is the wrong tool for a Microsoft school, and it is not a student-facing product. If your bottleneck is planning rather than marking, a generator-led tool will serve you better.
