Fastio
AI project workspaces for teams and agents
About Fastio
Fastio is a cloud workspace built for the way teams now work alongside AI agents. Each project gets one workspace that holds its files, its people and its agents, and every agent connected to it, whether that is Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or any other MCP client, reads and writes the same files your team does. The problem it goes after is familiar to anyone who has tried to point an agent at company documents: the files are spread across Dropbox, Box, OneDrive and Google Drive, each agent needs its own connection and permissions, and the agent burns time and tokens crawling folders before it finds anything useful. Fastio puts the project's files in one place, indexes them for AI search and metadata, and gives every agent a single connection to that workspace.
You do not have to migrate to use it. Dropbox, Box and OneDrive folders can be kept in sync one-way or two-way, Google Drive can be imported (with sync listed as coming soon), and anything else can be uploaded directly or synced from the desktop app. Access is granted per project workspace rather than per individual drive, so people and agents are added once and files stay with the project when someone leaves. Fastio is built by VividEngine. On its homepage it publishes a benchmark in which the same agent answered a contract-review question over a 2,163-file corpus faster and with far fewer tool calls in Fastio than through each provider's own storage; that is the vendor's own test, run with Claude in Cowork, not an independent one. Pricing is per plan with seats included rather than per user, and there is no permanent free tier, only a 14-day trial that needs a card.
Create a workspace for a project and bring its files in, by syncing an existing Dropbox, Box or OneDrive folder, importing from Google Drive, uploading, or using the desktop app to keep local folders in sync. Fastio extracts metadata from the files and indexes their content so they can be searched by meaning, and it can answer questions from them with citations. Add the people who work on the project, then connect agents: install the Fastio plugin for ChatGPT and Codex, add the MCP server URL as a custom connector in Claude, or point Cursor, Gemini, Grok, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent or any other MCP-compatible client at it. Each connected agent can search the workspace, read, write and organise its files, and pick up where the previous agent stopped. Results can then be shared outside the team through portals, shared folders, password-protected links and e-signature requests. Developers can use the CLI or the REST API instead of MCP.
- •Project workspaces - Each project keeps its own files, members and activity log, with access set at the workspace level instead of file by file.
- •Remote MCP server - One connection gives Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Gemini and other MCP clients search, file operations and sharing inside the workspace, with a CLI and REST API alongside.
- •Cloud sync and import - One-way or two-way sync with Dropbox, Box and OneDrive, import from Google Drive and direct uploads, so teams can start without moving everything.
- •AI search and metadata extraction - Files are indexed by content and metadata, and the workspace can answer questions from your own documents with citations.
- •Sharing, portals and e-signatures - Shared folders, client portals, password-protected links and e-signature requests are included on every plan.
- •Security and audit - Files are encrypted at rest and in transit, every action by people and agents is logged, and Enterprise adds single sign-on, administrative policies, legal holds and an audit stream to your SIEM.
Fastio is aimed at teams that already use AI agents on real project files and are tired of wiring each agent to each drive. Agencies and creative teams can keep every client project in its own workspace and share deliverables through portals. Operations, legal and finance teams can let an agent work through contracts, forecasts or due-diligence folders without handing it access to an entire company drive. Developers building with Claude Code, Codex or Cursor get persistent storage their agents can write output to and that colleagues can open. It is a weaker fit for individuals who only need personal cloud storage, since there is no free plan and the cheapest tier is built around a three-seat team.
