PawPortrait
AI art for the pet you adore
About PawPortrait
PawPortrait turns a single photo of your dog or cat into a custom portrait in one of six art styles. It is a deliberately small product: one input, one decision, one output, with none of the prompt writing that a general image generator demands. You upload a clear photo, pick a look, and download the result. The whole appeal is that a general-purpose model can do this too but only if you already know how to describe a watercolour pet portrait well enough to get one, and most people buying a gift for a pet owner do not.
The six styles are Watercolor (soft painted), Royal (an aristocratic oil-painting parody), Cute 3D Cartoon (pastel studio, in the vein of the famous animated dogs), Superhero (comic-book art), Cozy (a warm illustrated look), and Minimal Studio (clean studio framing). Alongside the portrait there is a second output that is really the reason this gets shared: a playful personality roast card generated from the same photo, written as though your pet were a person. It costs the same one credit as a portrait. Pricing is pay-as-you-go rather than a subscription, starting at $4.99 for 8 credits, and one credit produces one portrait or one roast. A free trial portrait is available before you pay, watermarked with the site name. Worth knowing on provenance: the operator is not named anywhere on the site, and the support address it publishes is shared with several other consumer AI apps run by the same team.
Upload a clear photo of a cat or dog in JPG, PNG or WEBP. A single well-lit shot where the face is unobstructed does far more for the result than anything else you can control, since there is no prompt to compensate with.
Choose a style from the six on offer, and decide whether you also want the personality roast. The style is the only creative decision the product asks you to make, which is the point of it.
Generate and download. The free trial produces one portrait carrying a subtle PawPortrait.app watermark so you can judge the output quality before spending anything. Paid credits remove the watermark entirely, and every paid tier reaches every style, so buying a larger pack gets you more outputs rather than better ones.
Downloads are yours to keep, with seven days of cloud backup on the account for re-downloading. That window is short, so treat the local copy as the real one rather than relying on the backup.
- •Six portrait styles - Watercolor, Royal, Cute 3D Cartoon, Superhero, Cozy and Minimal Studio, all available on every paid tier rather than gated by price.
- •Personality roast cards - A written comic personality read of your pet generated from the photo, costing one credit like a portrait. This is the output people actually forward to the family group chat.
- •One photo, no prompt - The entire input is an image and a style choice. No prompt engineering, no negative prompts, no seed wrangling.
- •Free trial before paying - One portrait with a subtle site watermark, no credit card, so you can see real output quality on your own pet before committing.
- •Pay-as-you-go credits - $4.99 for 8, $9.99 for 20, $19.99 for 50. One credit per portrait or roast, no subscription, nothing recurring to cancel.
- •Watermark-free paid output - Every paid tier downloads clean, at every style.
- •Stated training opt-out - The site says trial images are short-lived and that your photos are not used to train public AI models.
People buying a gift are the honest core audience, and the Gift Pack tier at 50 credits exists because that is what the product is mostly used for. A portrait of somebody else's dog in a style they would find funny is a low-effort present that lands, and $19.99 for 50 attempts is enough room to get one right.
Pet owners who want a distinctive profile picture or a print for the wall get there in about a minute, without learning an image model. If you already run Midjourney or a local Stable Diffusion setup, you can produce better and more controllable results yourself for less money, and you should. This is priced and built for the person who cannot and does not want to.
Anyone weighing it up should know two things. The cloud backup is seven days, not forever, so download and keep your own copy. And the operator publishes no company name, address or jurisdiction anywhere on the site, sharing a support address with a set of sibling AI apps, so treat it as an indie product rather than an established business when deciding what to upload.
