AI visibility on autopilot
About Citevant
Citevant is an outreach and monitoring platform built around a simple observation: when buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity or Claude what to use, those engines lean on a fairly small set of web pages - comparisons, reviews and buying guides - and the brands named on those pages are the ones that get recommended. Citevant finds those cited articles for the questions your buyers actually ask, then contacts the publishers behind them to request a mention of your brand. Its own tagline sums up the pitch as "AI visibility on autopilot", and the product is designed to run the research, contact discovery and outreach loop without someone doing it by hand.
The distinctive part is where prospects come from. Instead of a generic backlink list, Citevant pulls its targets directly from the citations AI engines show in their answers, plus recent articles that mention your competitors, so each outreach request has a concrete reason behind it. It is run by Cognitheon OU in Tallinn, Estonia, by the team behind the RankInPublic launch platform, which they say they grew to a Domain Rating of 55. Pricing is a single Pro plan at $95 per month, reached through a paid 7-day trial for $19, with extra websites at $75 per month. A separate done-for-you directory submission service is sold as a one-time $249 purchase.
Setup starts with your website. Citevant reads what your business does, works out who you compete with, and builds a list of questions your buyers are likely to ask an AI assistant. The company says this step takes about two minutes.
Every week, Citevant runs those questions through ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude. It records which brands appear in each answer, whether you are named, which competitors are recommended where you are not, and which pages the engines cite as sources. Alongside the weekly scans it runs a daily search for competitor articles - posts that already mention a rival product.
Those cited pages and competitor articles become outreach prospects. Citevant crawls each site to find the right contact email, then writes a pitch for that site based on your business profile and the specific article it found. Outreach is sent from a branded inbox on a separate domain that Citevant registers and manages for you, including DNS, so your main domain and everyday mailbox are kept out of it. New inboxes start at around 10 pitches a day and ramp up to as many as 30.
You can switch on fully automatic outreach or keep it off and review each pitch before it goes out. Replies are sorted by AI, you get an email alert when a publisher says yes, and you can answer from the Citevant dashboard in the same email thread. The publisher decides whether to add your brand. Results are typically expected in two to four weeks.
- •Weekly AI search scans - Citevant checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude every week for the questions your buyers ask. For each query you can see whether your brand is named, which competitors are recommended in your place, and which pages the engines cite. This turns AI visibility from a guess into a tracked list of queries you can watch change over time.
- •Prospects from AI citations - Rather than building outreach lists from generic backlink databases, Citevant uses the pages AI engines already cite for your topics as its prospect list. It combines those citations with your business profile and relevant competitor mentions to decide which publishers to approach and to explain why your brand belongs in their article.
- •Daily competitor article search - A daily search surfaces new posts that mention your competitors, adding comparison and review articles where your product could reasonably be listed alongside the alternatives a reader is already considering.
- •Automated contact discovery and pitching - Citevant crawls each target site to find an appropriate contact address, then writes a personalized pitch per site from your business profile and the article it found. Outreach runs on a schedule of up to 30 pitches a day from a dedicated inbox on a separate domain that Citevant sets up and manages, so your main domain sender reputation stays out of the process.
- •AI reply sorting and dashboard inbox - Incoming replies are sorted by AI and you are alerted by email when a publisher agrees. Conversations stay in the dashboard, where you can reply in the same thread from your outreach inbox, or keep automatic sending off and approve each pitch yourself if you want more control.
- •Directory backlinks and Domain Rating tracking - The Pro plan also adds one niche, high-DR directory backlink every day (about 30 a month), chosen for your business from a database of more than 13,000 directories, and tracks your Domain Rating weekly so you can follow how your authority develops. Pro includes a free 30-minute strategy and setup call to review your site, keywords, backlink targets and first outreach emails.
Citevant is aimed at founders, startups, SaaS companies and small marketing teams who are noticing that buyers increasingly ask AI assistants for recommendations and want to know whether their brand shows up in those answers. If you have no idea which pages ChatGPT or Perplexity rely on when discussing your category, the weekly scans give you a concrete starting point, and the competitor gaps show exactly where rivals are being recommended instead of you.
It also suits teams that understand the value of earned mentions in comparison and review articles but do not have the time to research publishers, hunt for contact addresses and write individual pitches. Because the prospect list comes from pages the AI engines already cite, outreach effort is concentrated on sources that are directly connected to buyer questions rather than on link volume for its own sake.
Agencies and operators running several properties can add extra websites to one account at $75 per month each. Newer sites with a low Domain Rating may get additional value from the daily directory backlinks bundled into Pro, or from the separate one-time directory submission service.
It is less suited to teams that want a free tier to experiment with: there is no free plan, only a paid 7-day trial, and the single Pro plan is priced at $95 per month. Outcomes also depend on publishers choosing to accept pitches, which Citevant itself notes varies by niche and by how quickly sites update their articles.
