Tomosu AI
Production reliability governance for AI-generated code
About Tomosu AI
Tomosu AI is an AI code governance platform that scores applications for production reliability and decides which changes are ready to ship. As AI assistants push more code into pull requests, the vendor argues that review and observability tools leave a gap between writing code and running it safely. Tomosu fills that gap with the Production Reliability Index (PRI), a single trendable score, and a multi-tier agentic system that works across development, pre-merge and runtime. The company positions it as its own category: not a linter, APM, PR review chatbot or code assistant, but a governance layer that sits above the existing stack, scores risk and keeps the evidence.
Tomosu is read-only by default, and enforcement stays under the customer's control. Instead of charging per seat, it meters reliability work in TCUs (Tomosu Consumption Units): scanning a repository, keeping its score current, checking a pull request or answering a question from an AI agent. The Free plan is free forever on one repository, public or private, with pre-merge scoring, 250 TCUs to start then 25 per month, and unlimited developers and agents. Govern starts from $150k per year and Enterprise is custom; both are sold through sales and billed annually. Tomosu states that customer code is never used to train models.
- •Scan - Connect a repository and Tomosu runs a full reliability scan to build its PRI score.
- •Govern every change - Pull requests are scored before merge. On paid plans, PR gates, guided fixes and a Git Agent with a PRI merge gate decide what reaches production.
- •Detect and resolve - Govern and Enterprise extend coverage to runtime with production validation and incident analysis. Incidents arrive with root-cause context, a likely fix and an evidence trail, so lower support tiers can act without paging a senior engineer.
- •Learn - Runtime incidents become new guardrails in the IDE, so the governance layer updates without the team writing new rules.
- •Production Reliability Index - A single trendable score per application, built from a full scan and kept current as code changes, intended as the number engineering, finance and leadership all track.
- •Pull request scoring and merge gates - Every pull request is scored; paid plans add blocking gates, guided fixes and a Git Agent with a PRI merge gate.
- •Multi-tier agents - Agents named VisionOps, RapidSense, RootView, Knowledge and Ticket, plus a Unified Runner, observe, prevent, resolve, escalate and learn across the lifecycle.
- •MCP server for coding agents - Govern includes a full MCP server so AI coding agents can query Tomosu directly while they work.
- •VisionBoard dashboard - A view-only dashboard on Free that extends across the whole organization on Govern.
- •Audit-ready evidence - Every governance decision is logged with evidence for SOC 2, ISO or internal AI-use policy reviews, with SSO, SCIM, data residency and private connectivity on higher tiers.
Tomosu is aimed at engineering leaders, SRE teams and support organizations at companies shipping a meaningful volume of AI-assisted pull requests. Its pilot targets are framed around mid-size SaaS teams with 50 to 300 engineers running 24/7 production workloads, and the vendor publishes estimated upper-bound outcomes such as a 73% reduction in support escalations, noting that results depend on baseline metrics and adoption. Teams can try one repository on the free plan before any sales conversation. Larger and regulated organizations that need per-team controls, dedicated tenancy and dedicated support with an SLA are the target for Enterprise. It sits above existing Git, observability and ticketing tools rather than replacing them.
