NeverApply
A browser agent that tailors your CV and applies to jobs for you
About NeverApply
NeverApply is a job-search agent that does the part everybody hates. It reads the roles posted that day, matches them against what you actually want, rewrites your CV for each listing, and submits the application itself across applicant tracking systems and company career pages. The submission is done by a browser agent, which matters because most career sites were never going to expose an API for this.
The control that makes it usable rather than alarming is guardrails. You set the boundaries in plain terms, their own example being "backend only, $180k+, remote", and the agent works inside them rather than firing your CV at everything with a matching job title. That is the difference between targeted automation and a spray. Worth thinking about honestly before you turn it on: applying at volume is contested ground. Plenty of recruiters can spot a mass-applied application, some employers' terms discourage automated submission outright, and fifty tailored applications to roles you actually want will beat five hundred scattershot ones. The tool gives you the means to do either, and which one you do is set by how carefully you write the guardrails. There is also the ordinary consideration that your CV and job preferences go to a third party, so read the retention terms as you would for anything holding your employment history. The free tier gives five auto-applies with no card, which is enough to see what it produces before deciding.
You upload your CV once and set your guardrails: role type, salary floor, location and remote preference. From there the agent reads newly posted jobs, scores them against your criteria and surfaces the matches. For each one it wants to pursue, it rewrites your CV against that specific listing rather than sending one generic document. The browser agent then completes and submits the application on the ATS or career site, which is why it works on sites that offer no integration. On the higher tier this runs on autopilot at up to fifteen applications a day, so the work happens while you are doing something else. An MCP interface is available on paid plans with read, write and apply access, so the agent can be driven from your own tooling rather than only through their interface. A copilot called Otto handles the surrounding work such as interview preparation.
- •Guardrails in Plain Language - Constrain by role, salary floor and location so the agent stays targeted rather than scattershot
- •Per-Listing CV Tailoring - Each application gets a CV rewritten for that posting instead of one generic file
- •Browser-Based Submission - Works on ATS and custom career sites that expose no API
- •Autopilot - Up to 15 applications a day on the top tier, running unattended
- •MCP Access - Read, write and apply from your own tooling on paid plans
- •Five Free Applies - No card, enough to judge the output before paying
Job seekers running a search alongside a full-time job, where the constraint is hours rather than ambition, and anyone who has watched a search stall because writing the fortieth tailored CV is unbearable. It suits people who will spend real effort on the guardrails, since those are what separate this from mass-applying. It is a poor fit if you are targeting a handful of specific companies, where a personal approach beats any amount of automation, or if you are in a field where applications go through relationships rather than portals.
