Jithox
Verified compliance checks for AI agents over MCP
About Jithox
Jithox is a set of verified compliance and payment-safety tools that AI agents call over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Instead of letting an agent guess at a fact that carries real financial or legal risk, Jithox gives it an authoritative read-only check: verify an IBAN, confirm a Peppol e-invoicing participant, test whether a supplier bank-change request is safe, run an EU import or energy-label preflight, or screen a counterparty against sanctions lists. The problem it addresses is that language models invent plausible answers, and in finance, invoicing, and trade compliance a confident wrong answer can move money to the wrong account or clear a shipment that should have been stopped. Jithox is designed so a truthful negative - no match, not registered, not reachable - is a real, charged answer, which removes any incentive to fabricate a match.
Jithox stays deliberately read-only today. Its live tools look things up in official sources and change nothing, and the vendor is explicit that higher action levels (compare, prepare, approve, execute, reconcile) are not claimed until each is implemented and proven. The service connects to any MCP-speaking agent (Claude, ChatGPT and Codex, Gemini, Cursor, Goose, and plain HTTP or CLI agents) by adding a single endpoint, and several core tools - IBAN verification, Peppol readiness and participant lookup, and payment-change preflight - are free and need no account or key. The commercial model is pure usage: you pay per accepted call from one prepaid EUR balance, with no subscription, no renewal, and no overage. A machine-readable pricing contract lets an agent read the cost of a call before making it.
You add the Jithox MCP endpoint to your agent and, for the free tools, start calling immediately with no account or key. Each capability is a named tool - verify_iban, check_peppol_ready, lookup_peppol_participant, check_payment_change, preflight_payment, and the paid import, energy-label, and sanctions preflights - and the agent calls whichever it needs. For paid tools you create a connection key and top up a single prepaid balance in euros, shared across every capability. A call is charged only when a tool actually runs and returns an answer, including a truthful negative; invalid input, auth failures, rate limiting, provider outages, timeouts, internal errors, and replayed identical requests cost nothing. Every accepted call returns a receipt you can verify independently, and when the balance runs out, calls are refused rather than billed, so there is never an unexpected invoice.
- •IBAN and Payment Verification - Validates IBANs offline and runs supplier bank-change and payment preflight checks so an agent can confirm new bank details before money moves, with the core payment checks free and keyless.
- •Peppol E-Invoicing Lookups - Checks Peppol participant readiness and looks up participants against the public registers, free and always keyless because the registers themselves are public.
- •EU Trade Compliance Preflight - Paid tools cover EU import preflight, energy-label preflight, and counterparty sanctions screening, each returning a structured answer with a verifiable receipt.
- •Charged Only for Real Answers - A call costs money only when a tool runs and returns a result, including a truthful no-match; errors, timeouts, auth failures, and replays are never charged, which removes any incentive to invent a match.
- •One Prepaid Balance, No Subscription - Usage is drawn from a single prepaid EUR balance shared across every capability, with no monthly plan, no automatic renewal, and no overage; a depleted balance refuses calls rather than billing them.
- •Works With Any MCP Agent - A single endpoint connects Claude, ChatGPT and Codex, Gemini, Cursor, Goose, and any MCP or plain-HTTP agent, with a machine-readable pricing contract an agent can read before calling.
Jithox is built for developers and businesses building AI agents that touch money, invoicing, or EU trade compliance, where a wrong answer is expensive and an authoritative check is worth paying for. Finance and accounts-payable teams automating supplier onboarding use the IBAN and bank-change checks to catch fraudulent payment-redirect requests. Companies trading into the EU use the import, energy-label, and sanctions preflights to screen counterparties and shipments before they commit. Agent builders and MCP tool integrators use the free Peppol and payment tools to add reliable checks to a workflow without an account, and teams that want a guided setup can buy a one-off integration session. Because pricing is per call in euros with no subscription, it suits usage that is occasional or spiky rather than constant.
