CoverUpInk
AI cover-up tattoo designs drawn on a photo of your old tattoo
About CoverUpInk
CoverUpInk is an AI cover-up tattoo generator. You upload a photo of a tattoo you want to hide, choose a style, and it draws three cover-up concepts right where the old tattoo sits on your skin, plus a linework file you can hand to a tattoo artist. Covering an old tattoo is harder than starting fresh, because the new design has to be large and dark enough to break up the old shapes, and most people find it hard to picture a cover-up on their own body before booking a consultation.
Alongside the generator, the site publishes more than 300 AI cover-up concepts in 15 galleries, organized by placement (hand, neck, wrist, forearm, chest, lower back, sleeve), by the kind of tattoo being covered (names, flowers, crosses, dark and blackout pieces, scars, small tattoos) and by person. A written guide explains the rules experienced artists follow, such as going 1.5 to 2 times larger than the old tattoo and using darker ink over lighter. CoverUpInk is clear that every gallery image is an AI concept rather than a client result, that whether a design can actually cover your tattoo is the artist's call, and that scars or stretch marks need a doctor's advice first. Uploaded photos are deleted after 24 hours. Pricing is pay-once packs with no subscription.
- •Take or upload a clear photo of the old tattoo in JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB.
- •Pick a style: Auto, Floral, Black and grey, Realism, Japanese or Geometric.
- •Generate. Each generation returns 3 cover-up concepts drawn on your photo, plus linework for your artist.
- •Compare the concepts with the before and after view, and generate again to try other styles.
- •Download the HD designs and linework PNG and take them to your tattoo artist to discuss what will work.
- •Cover-ups on your own photo - Draws new designs over the actual tattoo in place, so you judge size, shape and darkness on your body instead of on a flat sketch.
- •Three concepts per generation - Every run produces three different cover-up ideas to compare side by side.
- •Linework for your artist - Each generation includes a linework PNG that gives the tattoo artist a clear starting point.
- •Six design styles - Auto, floral, black and grey, realism, Japanese and geometric directions, matched to how dense the old ink is.
- •300+ concept galleries - Fifteen galleries of 20 AI concepts each, grouped by placement, by tattoo type and by person, with size and style notes for each spot.
- •Cover-up guide - Explains how cover-up tattoos work, when laser fading first gives an artist more freedom, and how to choose a design.
CoverUpInk is for people with a tattoo they regret, such as an old name, a faded star, a tribal band or a dated design, who want to see realistic cover-up options before booking a consultation. People covering a scar can explore ideas to discuss with both a doctor and an artist. Tattoo artists can use the concepts and linework as a starting point when a client cannot describe what they want. A free account includes one low-resolution preview; one-time packs suit one tattoo, comparing every style, or several tattoos.
